Delly Yaker was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela – northern part of South America. She moved to the United States after graduating with a B.S. in Architecture from the Facultad de Arquitectura at the Universidad Central de Venezuela. She received an Honorable Mention Diploma and served as teacher's assistant in design studio. Delly completed a Construction Management program from the Universidad Metropolitana. She developed her professional experience with several firms such as Intra:dos Arquitectura, Interior Architects, Sizemore Group, Axis Architectural Studio, YZDA, and Hirshson Architecture + Design. In 2016, Delly founded her Interior Architecture and Design firm. She is a registered architect in New Jersey and New York.
Delly holds the National Council of Architecture Board Certification (NCARB) and is an active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Architects League of Northern New Jersey (ALNNJ).
She is a recipient of the 2023 Community Service Award granted by AIA-ALNNJ for her volunteered work in Arquitina. Delly has participated in Arquitina both as a mentor and as a member in its planning committee. Arquitina is a non-profit organization that empowers Latina/x women working in Architecture helping them becoming registered architects. Delly is also a co-author of the book City Shapers – Stories of Immigrant Designers published by the Immigrant Architects Coalition. This organization offers mentorship, advice, and valuable resources to fellow immigrant designers and architects.
Delly founded her firm with the desire to engage one-on-one with like-minded people who appreciate and honor design excellence. Her greatest strength is the design of architecture with the vision of an interior designer, creating spaces that are beautiful and functional both inside and outside. Delly's highest mission is to design modern functional, livable, and meaningful spaces filled with harmony, beauty, and inspiration.
